In a warm and joyful atmosphere, our school’s annual Teacher’s Day teacher-student social event was recently held. This event celebrates the arrival of Teachers’ Day, strengthens emotional exchanges between teachers and students, and marks a new chapter in Chinese education.
On September 25, a group of over 30 parents from mainland China visited our school. First, under the guidance of Zhang Xiaofang, the guests toured the campus and received detailed introductions. They watched a range of instructional exercises, such as a demonstration of a 10th grade English class and visits to the Chinese library and other classrooms. This comprehensive demonstration of the school’s features garnered unanimous praise from parents, enhancing their understanding of the school and strengthening ties between both parties.
In the afternoon, teachers, students, and parents gathered to showcase the unique charm and profound heritage of Chinese education through colorful performances. The Philippine national anthem opened the event, which was then followed by student violin performances, choreographed dances, and songs. These activities expressed sincere respect and gratitude to the teachers who work tirelessly on the front lines of education. Not only did these performances enhance understanding and friendship between teachers and students, but they also stimulated students’ enthusiasm and interest in learning Chinese.
Additionally, the event featured a special “gift-giving” segment. Inspired by the students’ deeds, visitors from China gave our teachers their own presents as a token of appreciation for their commitment to Chinese education. This gesture affirmed the teachers’ hard work and outstanding achievements, inspiring more teachers to contribute to the cause of Chinese education.
The event concluded with a group photo of guests, teachers, and students, capturing the deep friendship between teachers and students and serving as a precious memento of the occasion.
