On the evening of December 22 (Friday), at 7:00 p.m., the “Community Year-End Recognition Ceremony and Christmas Celebration” was held at the multipurpose hall of Saint Theresa’s Parish. Our school’s principal, Huang Sihua, was invited to attend and was presented with the “Community Friendship Award.” Principal Huang was acknowledged for the pleasant collaboration between the school and Saint Theresa’s Parish over the years, with mutual benefits.
Every July, both the school and Saint Theresa’s Parish sign a memorandum of understanding. The school organizes various activities for the community, inviting them to participate. These activities include celebrating Nutrition Month with activities such as Zumba health exercises, health lectures, lending the school playground for community events involving elderly residents, providing the sports hall for community youth basketball games, and offering the venue for free clinics. Saint Theresa’s Parish regularly patrols the school to ensure the safety of the students. Most notably, the Parish recommended the establishment of a police station near our school to the mayor, enhancing the safety of the area and directly improving the school’s security. Over the years, this collaboration has earned Saint Theresa’s Parish continuous recognition from the municipal government of Xianfan City, receiving numerous awards. As a result, Principal Huang Sihua receives the “Community Friendship Award” at the annual recognition ceremony organized by Saint Theresa’s Parish, and this marks the fifth time Principal Huang has received this award.
